🌧️ When It Didn’t Rain… and Then It Did : A Quiet Sign That Allah Loves You
So Hazrat Musa and Bani Isra’il (the nation) were stuck in the desert. No water. No food. Just heat and dust Think: desert-level dehydration and no snacks. 🏜️1
Musa A.S. does what prophets do: he prays. 📿
“Ya Allah, send us rain!” 🌧️
But… nothing. No clouds. Just crispy dryness. 😩
Everyone’s looking at Musa like, “Uh… where’s the miracle, bro?” 👀
So he prays harder — and Allah replies:
“There’s a guy among y’all who’s been sinning for 40 years straight. Tell him to step out — he’s blocking the barakah (blessings)!”
Musa’s like, “Yo! Whoever you are, time to fess up so we don’t all roast!” 🔥
Now imagine being that guy. 😶
Thousands of people. Everyone’s waiting. You’re sweating buckets thinking,
“Bruh… it’s me 😬.”
He doesn’t move. He just silently turns to Allah:
“Ya Allah, I’m sorry. Please forgive me. But… please don’t expose me 😢.”
And then… boom!
🌧️ RAIN starts falling. People cheer. Musa’s like: Wait what?!
He asks,
“Ya Allah… no one stepped out. So how did we get the rain?”
Allah responds:
“He repented. 🌧️ I forgave. 😌 And I ain’t gonna expose someone I’ve been covering for 40 years“
How to Get Closer to Allah: Take Small Steps Knowing Allah Loves You 🌿
Sometimes, the road to Allah feels long and overwhelming. But don’t worry — just take those small, honest steps. Even if it’s a little prayer or a sincere thought, it’s the start of something beautiful, and Allah is always waiting with open arms. ❤️
Like you can also do zikr of Allah (Tasbeeh). Wait a second, are you just as confused as I am about which tasbeeh to read?” 🤔
One minute it’s “SubhanAllah,” the next it’s “Astaghfirullah” — and then someone mentions “La ilaha illallah” and you’re like, “Hold up, which one again?“

Like Finding Your Lost Camel in the Desert 🐫
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Allah says: ‘I am exactly how you think of Me when you remember Me.’ 😌 And you know what? Allah is way more thrilled with your repentance than you are when you find your lost camel in the middle of the desert. 🏜️ I mean, imagine that joy—except Allah’s joy is even bigger!2
And get this:
If you take a step towards Allah, He’ll take a giant leap towards you.
Take a tiny step towards Allah, and He’ll take a big step towards you. Take a bigger step, and He’ll close the gap even more. And if you’re just walking, guess what? He’s literally running to catch up with you!” 🏃♂️💨

- Ibn Qudamah, a great Syrian scholar, narrates in his book Kitab al-Tawwabin. But it must be stated that the story in question is not rigorously authentic. It might be from historical Israelite narrations, which we are allowed to cite as long as they do not contradict our Shariah, as is the case here. ↩︎
- Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Allah says: ‘I am just as My slave thinks of Me when he remembers Me.’ By Allah! Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than one of you who unexpectedly finds in the desert his lost camel. ‘He who comes closer to Me one span, I come closer to him a cubit; and he who comes closer to Me a cubit, I come closer to him a fathom; and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running”.
